LIMITED EDITION PRINT

Here is the third installment of artwork series of some of The Tank Museums most treasured tanks, painted by world renowned artist Nicholas Trudgian. Inspired by ‘Fury’, the spectacular movie directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, the painting and limited edition prints have been made with the full cooperation and support of the Director and the film-makers to whom we extend our sincere thanks. The movie features perhaps the rarest collection of genuine World War II vehicles ever seen in a motion picture. This includes the world’s sole surviving operational 'Tiger I’, the primary exhibit of the permanent display at The Bovington Tank Museum.
THE STORY
In the final weeks of the war in Europe, Nazi resistance was as defiant as ever. Far from their expectation of a Third Reich lasting a thousand years they saw the battle rage into the very heart of the German Fatherland. The narrow streets and ancient buildings of picturesque towns became the setting for vicious fighting as Allied armies sought out the last pockets of fanatical resistance. Following an attack by aircraft of the US Ninth Air Force, Sherman tank 'Fury' cautiously picks its way through the wreckage-strewn streets of yet another German town, the crew wary that every corner could be their last.
