'History Is Violent' Limited Edition Print
LIMITED EDITION PRINT
Second installment of artwork in the series of some of The Tank Museums most treasured tanks, painted by world renowned artist Nicholas Trudgian. Inspired by ‘Fury’, the spectacular movie directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, the painting and limited edition prints have been made with the full cooperation and support of the Director and the film-makers to whom we extend our sincere thanks. The movie features perhaps the rarest collection of genuine World War II vehicles ever seen in a motion picture. This includes the world’s sole surviving operational 'Tiger I’, the primary exhibit of the permanent display at The Bovington Tank Museum.
THE STORY
In April 1945, with battle still raging in the fields of northern Germany, US Army Sherman tank ‘Fury’ and its war-hardened crew advance through the shattered remains of the day’s brutal conflict. Seemingly the sole survivor of a devastating battle and with the fleeting support of Mustangs from the 9th Air Force, ‘Fury’ has its gunsight set even deeper on the defiant heartland of the Third Reich. The crew will not be satisfied until history can be written in their favour.
Limited to just 650 prints worldwide. Prints measure 39in X 22.5in with an image area of 28in X 15.5in.
